Efficiency Ensured
Open Car Shipping is the most common and cost-effective method of car transporting.
About 90% of Car Carriers are Open Car Transporters, which means we are able to locate a driver for your shipment in less than three days. Choosing Open Transport is just as safe as Enclosed Transport, with the difference of your vehicle being exposed to the weather, road dust, and flies. This method is a great way to save on transporting and still receive outstanding service. If your vehicle costs up to $50,000 or more, we highly recommend you ship in an Enclosed Trailer to ensure that your vehicle is fully covered by the insurance.
Double Checked
All of our drivers go through a detailed check before we release any of our client’s personal information, even if we have worked with them in the past. Leading Auto Transport checks the driver's Insurance, accident record, customer service ratings and at times financial details. Leading Auto Transport also verifies the insurance limit that each transporter has to guarantee that your vehicle is Fully Insured.
The Best Resources
The size and distance of your transport will typically determine the size of the open trailer. Local Open Transporters will generally be operating a pickup truck, such as a Heavy-Duty Ford or Dodge Rams. These Heavy-Duty pickup trucks typically haul 1 to 5 cars on a car trailer. Local roads are usually tighter and tougher to maneuver around for larger vehicles, that is why they use pickup trucks instead of semi-trucks. Long Distance Open Transporters are typically seen operating a large semi-truck with a 5 to 12 car trailer. Some carriers do have smaller vehicles pickup or make the delivery if the roads are not accessible to semi-trucks.
